How Can I Deal With Past Mistakes?

Jesus dealt with our past mistakes on the cross. 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Jesus bore our sins on the cross. He died that we might live. All who look to Jesus are saved. Looking to Jesus involves understanding the truth. We must understand that He is God. He died on a real cross. Our sins were laid upon Him. He suffered in our place. Looking to Jesus involves repentance. We must turn away from our sins. There must be a willingness to forsake sin in our lives. We must commit to Jesus. He is the Messiah. He is God. He is equal to the Father. When we confess He forgives.
